CURRENT  PROJECTS

i. IBRAD is implementing the project “Integrated Landscape Management for Sustainable Agriculture: Developing NRM based Models and Facilitating Scale up through Capacity Building and Agri Business Incubation Program for Small Holders Wellbeing” under RKVY assigned by the Department of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal covering eight landscapes in Bankura and Jhargram districts of West Bengal. IBRAD has already developed 24 Demonstrative Model tribal villages at the landscape level under the project for promotion of organic and sustainable agriculture, promotion of agri business through women empowerment by developing Community Resource Persons (CRP) through systematic training and capacity building.

ii. IBRAD has also been working in more than 400 villages spread over four districts of West Bengal as Support Organisation to build capacity of the farmers of rainfed areas for agriculture, horticulture and fisheries based livelihood development covering more than 12700 ha command area under World Bank funded West Bengal Accelerated Development of Minor Irrigation Project. It has been forming and strengthening the Water User Associations (WUAs) for managing the minor irrigation systems, capacity building of the WUAs and facilitating the process of convergence for promotion of agri business.

iii. IBRAD is implementing the project “Capacity Building and Women Empowerment through Integrated Landscape Management For Sustainable Livelihood Development for the tribal farmers especially the PVTG” (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups) like Birhors in Jharkhand and Kamars in Chhattisgarh assigned by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The focus is on capacity building of the community to develop sustainable livelihood options to ensure food and nutrition security.

iv. IBRAD has been assigned by Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produces Cooperative Society to develop capacity of the tribal women cooperative members following Integrated Landscape Development approach for NTFP conservation, kitchen garden development and livelihood development under the project Forest Mosaic Landscape Management Approaches through strengthening Women Cooperatives, Organic Farming & Sustainable Management of MFP for Tribal Development in the context of Climate Change in Dhamtari Forest Division, Chhattisgarh.

v. IBRAD is also recognized as Training Provider under West Bengal Skill Development Department under Utkarsh Bangla (Skill Development program) and is conducting skill development training on Organic Farming and training for Agriculture Extension Service Providers.

vi. Conducting training for the Indian Forest Service Officers assigned by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

vii. Conducting training for different stakeholders assigned by different government departments from time to time.

viii. Conducts Impact evaluation studies of different programs and projects of different government departments in different states of India.
